Worst customer service and tech support bar none.
This company had the worst technical support that I’ve ever encountered – for any type of product or service. It will take you about 1 1/2 hours of fruitless dialog with them before you reach the conclusion that they will not help because they lack the experience and knowledge to know what your issue is and how to solve it. I had to upgrade my service to premium, which was $25/mo, just so that I could talk to someone who had a clue. After 2 weeks of frustration I bailed and am now looking for another hosting provider
Incompetent Support Services!.
Thanks to the great tech support at iPage, (great here having the meaning “useless and unhelpful”) my website never even made it off the ground. They froze my account, and hit me with vague problems from beginning to end. Even after spending 45 minutes over the phone, they couldn’t even get their own password reset system to work. When I asked to be transfered to a supervisor, I encountered an equally moronic troll whose only suggestion was that they “nullify the process,” and I would have to start all over in 24-48 hours. No attempt to keep my business was made. In short, iPage acts as though they’re the only game in town, but their rampant incompetence has me looking for just about any other web host on the market. Take my advice: save yourself the headache. Avoid iPage!
Greatest hosting and customer support yet.
I recently decided to try iPage, after it was reviewed as the best offer out there. I have tried other webhosts (ie. justhost, etc.) and was skeptical about trying iPage for bad experiences I had before. However, I was astounded by the fact that they make installation scripts for Joomla a breeze. I had installed joomla on my personal computer as a local hosts, and had to go through great hassles to get it up and running. Another issue I had trouble with prior web hosting companies was their inability to furnish prompt and easy-to-understand technical help. I didn’t face that problem with iPage… they went beyond what was expected by contacting previous domain registrars and resolved matters without me asking. The only suggestion I would make is if they could lower their fee to transfer my existing domains to iPage. However, with all of the tools and awesome support, I completely understand their reasons. Overall, I give them an outstanding rating for quality and service :O)
Worst experience ever !.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but every time I logged out of the control panel, my password was reset. Causing me to change my password EVERY TIME. What’s worse, resetting the password also resets the FTP users & passwords. This was definitely the first, and last time I used their services, good thing they have money-back guaranty!
Price more than doubled this year.
I just got my invoice for the coming year, and for The Essential, for which I paid $42.00 last year I am being billed $107.40 ! Some of the software is buggy as well. I have not been able to update my blog page for months. I am now looking for a new host.
